So what do Social Workers do?
Social workers help others to work on the challenges they experience to their social, physical, and mental well-being. Some issues they offer support for are family welfare, employment, violence, disabilities, drug abuse, and mental health concerns.

Social workers focus on a person's environment or personal circumstances to help improve their situation. Ways of help could include linking the person to other services, like financial help, organising safety plans, or assistance with attending drug rehabilitation.

Social workers often see people who are experiencing crises, like family violence, homelessness or mental health issues. To help, social workers provide different types of support, including counselling, information, application completion, and emotional support.
